About Me
In 1982 I began shooting nude girls for Men's magazines, ( while living in Denmark ) and traveled around Europe to find and shoot the most beautiful models. I was mostly shooting out doors at that time, traveling to various exotic locations like Mexico, Bahamas, Caribbean Islands and Northern Africa.
At that time I got involved with Playboy USA, after shooting some pictorials for Playboy Germany.
They send their Art Director Janice Moses to Copenhagen to hire me as a scout and shooter for the magazine, and several Danish girls got the chance to appear in Playboy US, and I also got to shoot some of them for the magazine.
I shot my first pictorial for Penthouse Magazine US Edition in 1984, and after one of my models ( Jeanette Starion ) was elected "International Penthouse Pet of the Year", it kind of kick started my career as an mayor magazine shooter.
Suddenly all the different countries edition of Penthouse wanted my pictures.
That was the trigger that made me move from Denmark, mostly to find different locations, and to live in a more pleasant climate.
French Riviera 1987 - 1996
In 1988 I moved to the French Riviera, 10 miles from Cannes, and began to shoot French, Dutch and English models. I was shooting at the most beautiful locations, villas and mansions from Saint Tropez to Monaco. It was wonderful to shoot out doors there, almost full sun everyday, and clear blue sky.
Los Angeles, Hollywood 1996 - 1998
In 1996 I moved to the Burbank, Los Angeles, 5 min. from Hollywood. Los Angeles, the City of Dreams.
Every waiter, bus boy, waitress is a model or actor, that just waits for the big break. It's big, crowded and hectic, but also very laid back.
I got to work with Larry Flynt Publication ( Hustler, Cheri and Rage Magazine ), and it was a fun time.
I was there for 2 years, but found out that is was not the dream place I thought, too much plastic :-) and at the same time all the magazines asked for natural breasts, so I got to find some other girls than the Hollywood models, and moved back to Europe.
Rome, Italy 1998 - 2000
Rome is a chapter for itself. It's a very beautiful city, and the food and wines !!.. wow..
Italy is a very Catholic country, so it was very difficult to find models there, but via one of my friends, I got in touch with a Czech Model / Agent that provided us with models from Czech Republic.
That way I got the best of two countries, great locations, wonderful food and beautiful models. I think it was the crowded city and traffic that finally ran me out of town, you could spend a whole day doing 2 or 3 errands i the city center.
Prague, Czech Republic 2000 - !!!
Right at the beginning of the new millennium Prague became my new home. I had photographed several Czech models in Rome, and was very happy to move to their homeland. Prague is the most beautiful city I ever have seen, and for a glamour photographer it was like finding the goose that laid the golden eggs. The Czech girls are something special, I have never seen so much beauty at one place, that is maybe why I'm stuck here, and don't have any plans about leaving.
Travels
Traveling, hrmm what can I say, except to travel is to live. I have been shooting models at the most exotic locations from Oases in the Sahara to exploring Captain Jack Sparrow's Caribbean Islands. The cost of northern Africa, to the white costs of Mexico, Bahamas etc. The magazine business is not what it used to be, but if times get better, I will grab the first plane out of here, to bring you pictures from another exotic wonderful location....
